Description
A classic dessert with caramelized bananas and a rum sauce.
Ingredients
- 4 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup dark rum
- Vanilla ice cream, for serving
Instructions
- Melt butter in a pan.
- Add brown sugar and cinnamon. Cook until melted.
- Add bananas and cook until softened.
- Carefully pour in rum and ignite (flambé).
- Serve over ice cream.
Notes
- Use ripe but firm bananas.
- Be careful when igniting the rum.
