Description
A simple and sweet side dish of glazed carrots.
Ingredients
- 1 lb carrots, peeled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Place sliced carrots in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until tender-crisp.
- Drain the carrots.
- Return carrots to the saucepan. Add butter, brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
- Stir over medium heat until butter is melted and carrots are coated. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of orange juice or a pinch of cinnamon.
- Ensure carrots are not overcooked to maintain a slight bite.
