Cheesesteak Stuffed Peppers

Description

Bell peppers filled with a cheesesteak mixture, then baked.


Ingredients

  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 4 ounces provolone cheese, sliced


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the bell peppers in half lengthwise and remove seeds.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef. Drain any excess grease.
  4. Add the chopped onion and green bell pepper to the skillet. Cook until softened.
  5. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  6. Pour in the beef broth and simmer for a few minutes.
  7. Stir in the cream cheese until melted and well combined.
  8. Fill each bell pepper half with the cheesesteak mixture.
  9. Top with provolone cheese slices.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

  • You can use different colored bell peppers.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables, like mushrooms.
