Description
Bell peppers filled with a cheesesteak mixture, then baked.
Ingredients
- 4 large bell peppers
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 4 ounces provolone cheese, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the bell peppers in half lengthwise and remove seeds.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef. Drain any excess grease.
- Add the chopped onion and green bell pepper to the skillet. Cook until softened.
- Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in the beef broth and simmer for a few minutes.
- Stir in the cream cheese until melted and well combined.
- Fill each bell pepper half with the cheesesteak mixture.
- Top with provolone cheese slices.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- You can use different colored bell peppers.
- Feel free to add other vegetables, like mushrooms.
