Description
A delicious and easy French toast bake with cinnamon swirl bread and cranberries, perfect for breakfast or brunch.
Ingredients
- 8 slices cinnamon swirl bread, cubed
- 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
- Place bread cubes and cranberries in the baking dish.
- Whisk eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Pour the mixture over the bread and cranberries. Press bread gently to soak.
- Drizzle melted butter and sprinkle brown sugar on top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden and set.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use day-old bread for better texture.
- Top with whipped cream or extra maple syrup if desired.
- Can be prepared the night before and baked in the morning.
