Description
A hearty and flavorful turkey chili with cranberries and chipotle for a sweet and smoky twist.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 1 chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, minced
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add ground turkey and cook until browned.
- Add onion and garlic. Cook until softened.
- Stir in cranberries, chipotle pepper, beans, tomatoes, and broth.
- Add chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Serve hot with optional toppings like shredded cheese or sour cream.
Notes
- Adjust chipotle pepper for more or less heat.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
