Description

Rich and creamy mashed potatoes infused with garlic flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Russet potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Place the potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until fork-tender.
  2. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  3. In a small saucepan, heat the milk, butter, and minced garlic over medium heat until the butter is melted and the mixture is warm. Do not boil.
  4. Pour the warm milk mixture over the potatoes.
  5. Mash the potatoes with a potato masher until smooth and creamy.
  6. Stir in the salt, pepper, and sour cream until well combined.
  7. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can roast the garlic before mincing it.
  • Adjust the amount of garlic to your preference.
  • If you prefer a thinner mash, add more milk, a tablespoon at a time.
