Description

A delicious baked brie topped with warm cranberry chutney, perfect for entertaining or a cozy appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 wheel of brie (8 oz)
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 1 tbsp orange juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, water, cinnamon, nutmeg, orange zest, and orange juice.
  3. Cook over medium heat until cranberries burst and mixture thickens (about 10 minutes).
  4. Place brie on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until brie is soft but not melted.
  6. Remove from oven and top with warm cranberry chutney.
  7. Sprinkle with walnuts if desired.
  8. Serve immediately with crackers or bread.

Notes

  • Use a sharp knife to score the top of the brie before baking.
  • Adjust sugar to taste if cranberries are too tart.
  • For a smoother chutney, blend after cooking.
