Description
A delicious baked brie topped with warm cranberry chutney, perfect for entertaining or a cozy appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1 wheel of brie (8 oz)
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp orange zest
- 1 tbsp orange juice
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, water, cinnamon, nutmeg, orange zest, and orange juice.
- Cook over medium heat until cranberries burst and mixture thickens (about 10 minutes).
- Place brie on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until brie is soft but not melted.
- Remove from oven and top with warm cranberry chutney.
- Sprinkle with walnuts if desired.
- Serve immediately with crackers or bread.
Notes
- Use a sharp knife to score the top of the brie before baking.
- Adjust sugar to taste if cranberries are too tart.
- For a smoother chutney, blend after cooking.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
