Simple and delicious dishes perfect for your Thanksgiving feast.
Ingredients
- 1 whole turkey (12-14 lbs)
- 1 cup butter, softened
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 cups bread cubes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 1 tsp sage
- 1 tsp thyme
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 5 lbs potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 tbsp butter
- 2 cups green beans, trimmed
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup fried onions
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F.
- Rub turkey with softened butter, salt, and pepper.
- Place turkey in roasting pan and cook for 3-4 hours.
- For stuffing, sauté onion and celery in butter. Mix with bread cubes, sage, thyme, and broth.
- Bake stuffing for 30 minutes at 350°F.
- Boil potatoes until tender, then mash with milk and butter.
- Mix green beans with soup, top with fried onions, and bake for 25 minutes at 350°F.
- Serve all dishes warm.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer to check turkey doneness (165°F).
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Make ahead and reheat if needed.
