Description

A simple and bright cranberry-orange sauce perfect for holidays or any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 (12 ounce) bag fresh cranberries, rinsed and picked over
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 orange, zested and juiced

Instructions

  1. Combine cranberries, sugar, and water in a medium saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until cranberries have burst and the sauce has thickened.
  4. Stir in the orange zest and orange juice.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool completely. The sauce will thicken further as it cools.
