Description
A simple pasta dish with fresh tomatoes, basil, and garlic.
Ingredients
- 1 pound pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a pan.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add tomatoes and cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in basil, salt, and pepper.
- Drain pasta and add to the tomato mixture.
- Toss to combine.
- Serve immediately, with Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
- Use good quality olive oil for best flavor.
- Feel free to add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat.
