Description

A simple pasta dish with fresh tomatoes, basil, and garlic.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)


Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
  2. While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a pan.
  3. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add tomatoes and cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Stir in basil, salt, and pepper.
  6. Drain pasta and add to the tomato mixture.
  7. Toss to combine.
  8. Serve immediately, with Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

  • Use good quality olive oil for best flavor.
  • Feel free to add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat.
