Description

This recipe shows you how to make gnocchi with a flavorful basil brown butter sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound gnocchi
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Cook gnocchi according to package directions.
  2. While gnocchi cooks, melt butter in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Continue cooking butter until it turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in chopped basil.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Drain the gnocchi and add it to the brown butter sauce.
  7. Toss to coat.
  8. Serve immediately.
