Description

A classic green bean casserole topped with crunchy fried onions.


Ingredients

  • 2 cans (10.5 oz each) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cups cooked green beans, drained
  • 1 1/3 cups French fried onions


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper.
  3. Stir in the cooked green beans until they are well coated.
  4. Pour the mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the French fried onions evenly over the top.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.

Notes

  • You can use fresh or frozen green beans. If using fresh, blanch them first.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of garlic powder to the soup mixture.
