Description
A classic green bean casserole topped with crunchy fried onions.
Ingredients
- 2 cans (10.5 oz each) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cups cooked green beans, drained
- 1 1/3 cups French fried onions
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper.
- Stir in the cooked green beans until they are well coated.
- Pour the mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle the French fried onions evenly over the top.
- Return to the oven and bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
Notes
- You can use fresh or frozen green beans. If using fresh, blanch them first.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of garlic powder to the soup mixture.
