Description
Thinly sliced marinated beef, grilled to perfection.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Green onions, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and pepper.
- Add the sliced beef and onion to the marinade. Mix well.
- Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Grill or pan-fry the beef until cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
- Serve with rice and your favorite side dishes.
Notes
- For a spicier bulgogi, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
- You can also add sliced mushrooms to the marinade.
