Make refreshing lavender lemonade.
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 tablespoons dried culinary lavender buds
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- 4 cups cold water
- Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)
- Lavender sprigs, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Make lavender simple syrup: Combine water, sugar, and lavender buds in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, cover, and let steep for 30 minutes.
- Strain syrup: Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve to remove lavender buds.
- Combine: In a pitcher, combine the lavender syrup, lemon juice, and cold water.
- Serve: Stir well. Serve over ice, garnished with lemon slices and lavender sprigs, if desired.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of lavender syrup to your taste.
- For a stronger lavender flavor, use more lavender buds.
- You can make the lavender syrup ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator.
