Description

Make refreshing lavender lemonade.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 tablespoons dried culinary lavender buds
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)
  • Lavender sprigs, for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Make lavender simple syrup: Combine water, sugar, and lavender buds in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, cover, and let steep for 30 minutes.
  2. Strain syrup: Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve to remove lavender buds.
  3. Combine: In a pitcher, combine the lavender syrup, lemon juice, and cold water.
  4. Serve: Stir well. Serve over ice, garnished with lemon slices and lavender sprigs, if desired.

Notes
