Description

A moist loaf cake with matcha and white chocolate.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup matcha powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and matcha powder.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together sugar and butter. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk.
  5. Fold in the white chocolate chips.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use good quality white chocolate.
  • You can add a glaze on top.
