Easy and elegant puff pastry bites filled with creamy brie and tart cranberry sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 4 oz brie cheese, rind removed, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/4 cup cranberry sauce
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unfold the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into 12 equal squares.
- Place a piece of brie cheese in the center of each puff pastry square.
- Top the brie with a small spoonful of cranberry sauce.
- Bring the corners of the puff pastry up to meet in the center and pinch to seal.
- Place the bites on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg wash.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- You can use fresh cranberries cooked down with sugar for a homemade cranberry sauce.
- For a savory twist, add a sprig of rosemary or thyme before sealing the pastry.
