Description

Easy and elegant puff pastry bites filled with creamy brie and tart cranberry sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz brie cheese, rind removed, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unfold the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into 12 equal squares.
  3. Place a piece of brie cheese in the center of each puff pastry square.
  4. Top the brie with a small spoonful of cranberry sauce.
  5. Bring the corners of the puff pastry up to meet in the center and pinch to seal.
  6. Place the bites on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush the tops with the beaten egg wash.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • You can use fresh cranberries cooked down with sugar for a homemade cranberry sauce.
  • For a savory twist, add a sprig of rosemary or thyme before sealing the pastry.
