Description

A refreshing dessert combining mint chocolate chip ice cream with a chocolate cake.


Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • Ingredients for cake (eggs, oil, water)
  • 1 gallon mint chocolate chip ice cream
  • Chocolate syrup (optional)


Instructions

  1. Bake the chocolate cake according to the box instructions. Let it cool completely.
  2. Place the cooled cake in a springform pan.
  3. Soften the mint chocolate chip ice cream slightly.
  4. Spread the softened ice cream evenly over the cake.
  5. Drizzle with chocolate syrup, if desired.
  6. Freeze for at least 4 hours, or until solid.
  7. Remove the sides of the springform pan before serving.

Notes

  • You can use store-bought or homemade chocolate cake.
  • Allow the ice cream to soften slightly for easier spreading.
  • For a firmer cake, freeze overnight.
