This recipe shows you how to make miso glazed salmon.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)
- 1/4 cup white miso paste
- 2 tablespoons mirin
- 2 tablespoons sake
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Green onions, sliced, for garnish
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the miso paste, mirin, sake, soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil.
- Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the miso glaze over them, making sure each fillet is coated.
- Marinate the salmon in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the marinated salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use a higher quality miso paste.
- You can grill the salmon instead of baking it.
- Leftover salmon can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
