Description

This recipe shows you how to make miso glazed salmon.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)
  • 1/4 cup white miso paste
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 2 tablespoons sake
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Green onions, sliced, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the miso paste, mirin, sake, soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the miso glaze over them, making sure each fillet is coated.
  3. Marinate the salmon in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
  4. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Place the marinated salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use a higher quality miso paste.
  • You can grill the salmon instead of baking it.
  • Leftover salmon can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
