Description
A simple pasta dish with peas, cooked in one pot.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces pasta (small shape)
- 4 cups vegetable broth
- 1 cup frozen peas
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add pasta and vegetable broth. Season with salt and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until pasta is cooked, about 10-12 minutes.
- Stir in frozen peas during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
- Serve with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
Notes
- You can add other vegetables like carrots or zucchini.
- For a creamier sauce, stir in a tablespoon of butter at the end.
