Description

Simple and delicious pecan pie bars, perfect for Thanksgiving or any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, softened butter, granulated sugar, and salt. Mix until crumbly.
  3. Press this mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form the crust.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Stir in the chopped pecans.
  6. Pour the pecan mixture evenly over the crust.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is mostly firm.
  8. Let the bars cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
