A delicious cake with pistachio flavor and a hidden surprise.
Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 (3.4 ounce) package instant pistachio pudding mix
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup chopped pistachios
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, combine cake mix, pistachio pudding mix, eggs, milk, and oil. Beat until well combined.
- Stir in chopped pistachios.
- Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool completely.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Frost the cooled cake.
Notes
- You can add green food coloring to the frosting for a more vibrant look.
- For extra flavor, use pistachio extract in the frosting.
