Soft and chewy red velvet cookies.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
- Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and red food coloring.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the white chocolate chips.
- Drop by rounded tablespoons onto baking sheets.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes.
- Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- For a deeper red color, you can use gel food coloring.
- Store cookies in an airtight container.
