Description

Soft and chewy red velvet cookies.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
  4. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and red food coloring.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in the white chocolate chips.
  7. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 9-11 minutes.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For a deeper red color, you can use gel food coloring.
