Ingredients

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- In a small bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Roll the cookie dough into 1-inch balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Make a thumbprint in the center of each cookie.
- Fill each thumbprint with the cream cheese mixture.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
