Description

This recipe shows you how to make seared salmon with a sweet and tangy raspberry balsamic glaze.

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets (6-8 ounces each), skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Place salmon in the hot skillet, skin-side down if using skin-on fillets. Sear for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden. Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until cooked to your liking.
  4. While the salmon cooks, make the glaze. In a small saucepan, combine raspberries, balsamic vinegar, and honey.
  5. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Spoon the raspberry balsamic glaze over the salmon and serve.

Notes

  • For a thicker glaze, cook it for a few extra minutes.
  • Serve with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables or rice.
