A simple recipe for rich and creamy hot chocolate made in a slow cooker.
Ingredients
- 4 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional toppings: whipped cream, chocolate shavings, marshmallows
Instructions
- Combine milk, heavy cream, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt in your slow cooker.
- Whisk until the cocoa powder is fully dissolved.
- Cover and cook on low for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Serve hot, with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- For a thicker hot chocolate, you can add a tablespoon of cornstarch mixed with a little milk before cooking.
