Ingredients
- 8 cups apple cider
- 1 orange, sliced
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 teaspoon whole cloves
- 1 teaspoon whole allspice berries
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Combine apple cider, orange slices, cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, and whole allspice berries in a large pot.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Stir in ground nutmeg before serving.
- Strain out the solids before serving hot.

- For a sweeter cider, add a tablespoon of maple syrup or brown sugar.
