Spinach & Ricotta Stuffed Shells

Description

This recipe shows you how to make spinach and ricotta stuffed shells.


Ingredients

  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 10 ounces frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 large egg
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese


Instructions

  1. Cook pasta shells according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, spinach, Parmesan cheese, parsley, and egg. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Spread marinara sauce in a baking dish.
  5. Stuff each shell with the ricotta mixture and place them in the dish.
  6. Top with mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

  • You can add a pinch of red pepper flakes for some heat.
  • Serve with extra marinara sauce.
