Description
A delicious dessert combining Boston cream pie flavors with a cookie.
Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the cake mix, softened butter, eggs, and 1/4 cup milk.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes. Let cool.
- For the filling, whisk together powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons milk, and vanilla extract.
- Spread filling on half of the cookies. Top with remaining cookies.
- Melt chocolate chips and shortening. Dip the tops of the cookies in the chocolate.
- Let the chocolate set before serving.
Notes
- You can add a pinch of salt to the cookie dough.
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
