Description

Enjoy a delicious and easy meal with tuna melt stuffed tomatoes.


Ingredients

  • 4 large tomatoes
  • 2 cans (5 ounces each) tuna, drained
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese, halved


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the tomatoes and scoop out the insides.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the tuna, mayonnaise, celery, red onion, salt, and pepper.
  4. Fill each tomato with the tuna mixture.
  5. Top each tomato with two half slices of cheddar cheese.
  6. Place the tomatoes in a baking dish.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
