A hearty and flavorful copycat version of Wendy’s famous chili, made with ground beef, beans, and a blend of spices. Perfect for a cozy meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (15 oz) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 (15 oz) can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook until softened.
- Stir in beans, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and beef broth.
- Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30-45 minutes.
- Serve hot with optional toppings like shredded cheese, sour cream, or crackers.
Notes
- For a thicker chili, simmer longer.
- Adjust spices to taste.
