Description

These Easy No-Bake Homemade Dog Treats are soft, chewy, and made with simple dog-friendly ingredients like oats, pumpkin puree, and peanut butter. No oven required—just mix, shape, chill, and serve.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup plain pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup dog-safe peanut butter (xylitol-free)
  • 24 tablespoons oat flour, as needed
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened applesauce (optional)
  • Extra rolled oats for coating (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the rolled oats in a mixing bowl. Pulse into coarse oat flour if a smoother texture is desired.
  2. Add the pumpkin puree and dog-safe peanut butter. Stir until a thick mixture forms.
  3. Add oat flour gradually if the mixture is too sticky, or a little pumpkin puree or applesauce if it feels too dry.
  4. Roll the mixture into bite-sized balls or press it into silicone molds.
  5. Optionally roll each treat in extra oats for a rustic finish.
  6. Place the treats on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or freeze for 15–20 minutes.
  7. Serve one small treat at a time and store the remainder in the refrigerator or freezer.

Notes

Always use plain pumpkin puree and xylitol-free peanut butter. Store treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Serve as an occasional treat, not a meal replacement.
